Hanwha Life Financial Services Holds the 40th Annual Awards Ceremony
Hanwha Life Financial Service, a subsidiary-type corporate insurance agency (GA) of Hanwha Life, announced on the 19th that it held the 40th Annual Awards Ceremony on the 17th at KINTEX in Ilsan, Goyang-si, Gyeonggi Province.
Over 1,500 FPs (Financial Planners) and sales managers who recorded excellent sales performance over the past year gathered to share moments of celebration and honor.
At the ceremony, Hanwha Group Chairman Kim Seung-yeon personally visited the venue to encourage the FPs and employees on the sales front. This was the first time in six years since 2018 that Chairman Kim attended the Annual Awards Ceremony. He had previously visited the 63 Building in Yeouido on the 25th of last month to encourage employees of Hanwha’s financial affiliates.
In his encouragement speech, Chairman Kim said, “Hanwha Life has successfully established a groundbreaking change as the first large life insurance company to separate manufacturing and sales, solidifying its position as an industry leader,” and added, “We are aiming to become a global champion beyond the domestic market, and as our goals rise, more persistent innovation is required.” He continued, “Hanwha Life’s establishment as the top life insurance company is thanks to the FPs here today,” emphasizing, “You are the ‘heart of Hanwha Life’ and the force that breathes new life into Hanwha Life.”

The event was also attended by Yeo Seung-joo, Vice Chairman and CEO of Hanwha Life, and Kim Dong-won, President and Chief Global Officer.
Kang Hee-jung, Honorary Executive Director of Hanwha Life Financial Service Ilwang Branch and recipient of the Achievement Champion award (age 53), said, “I am grateful to have a workplace where I can devote all my energy toward my goals while working as an FP for over 20 years, and I am happy every day because of the customers and colleagues with whom I can grow together,” expressing her ambition, “With pride in Hanwha Life Financial Service, the industry’s best, I will challenge myself toward even higher goals.”

This year, it is expected to achieve cumulative net profit surplus. In March, it conducted its first dividend payout just three years after establishment.
Thanks to the market competitiveness of Hanwha Life Financial Service, Hanwha Life’s protection insurance premiums (APE) increased by 114% compared to the previous year. The income of FPs, the foundation of GA sales, also grew noticeably. FPs earning over 100 million KRW annually account for 22.8% of the total.
