85% of the US Nationwide Eligible for Two-Day Delivery
Operations Starting Q3 2025
CJ Logistics is building large-scale logistics facilities to enable refrigerated and frozen food delivery within two days across most of the United States.
On the 19th, CJ Logistics announced that it will establish a 'cold chain' logistics center specialized in refrigerated and frozen products in the New Century area of Kansas, USA.
The center will be developed on a 27,034㎡ site and is scheduled to begin operations in the third quarter of 2025. CJ Logistics explained that this will allow transportation within two days to 85% of regions across the United States. A highway runs within 6 km of the center, and within 20 km is the transcontinental line of BNSF, a major US freight railroad company, making long-distance transportation linked with railroads convenient. Additionally, by integrating air transport, the company emphasized that it can enhance transportation efficiency not only within the US mainland but also for overseas shipments.
Initially, this center will handle logistics for the global food company Upfield's products. To ensure that products shipped from the factory can be immediately received at the logistics center, the Upfield production plant in New Century and the logistics center will be connected by a conveyor. In the future, CJ Logistics plans to provide high-quality cold chain logistics services to various clients beyond Upfield.
CJ Logistics also plans to build a cold chain logistics center of approximately 25,000㎡ in Gainesville, Georgia, USA, and start full-scale operations within this year. Kevin Coleman, CEO of CJ Logistics America (CJLA), said, "Cold chain logistics is a high-difficulty, high value-added industry that requires strict temperature control throughout all processes including storage, inventory management, and transportation. Based on CJ Logistics' 90 years of logistics operation experience and advanced technology, we will actively target the North American cold chain market."
