Gyeonggi Province will inspect the safety management of intercity bus vehicles and drivers from the 20th of this month to the 14th of next month to improve transportation convenience for intercity bus passengers and prevent major accidents.
The main inspection items include ▲whether the vehicle's safety devices are functioning and safety inspections are conducted ▲whether safety and customer service training for drivers is carried out ▲whether safety plans are established and safety inspections are performed.
Gyeonggi Province expects this inspection to contribute to reducing the risk of safety accidents that may occur when using intercity buses and to increasing passenger satisfaction. It also anticipates that thorough inspections and training will enhance drivers' friendliness and safety awareness.
Kim Sang-su, Director of the Gyeonggi Provincial Transportation Bureau, urged, "Since this intercity bus transportation business guidance inspection is being conducted with the safety of Gyeonggi residents and intercity bus passengers as the top priority, we ask transportation operators to actively cooperate."
Meanwhile, the companies subject to inspection must prepare related documents such as necessary training for drivers, compliance with rest times, and daily vehicle inspections.
