The Gyeonggi-do Fire and Disaster Headquarters is strengthening exchange and cooperation with the Korea Fire Industry Technology Institute.
On the 19th, the Fire and Disaster Headquarters announced that it signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Korea Fire Industry Technology Institute on the 17th to activate fire technology exchanges and enhance joint efforts in international cooperation.
According to the agreement, the two organizations will promote mutual cooperation projects in various fields, including ▲fire technology education for firefighters from countries involved in overseas exchange cooperation ▲international development cooperation projects such as the free transfer of decommissioned fire vehicles ▲international conferences and joint research in fire technology and disaster management.
Kim Chang-jin, President of the Korea Fire Industry Technology Institute, stated, "Combining the response capabilities gained from Gyeonggi Fire's diverse field experiences with the industrial technology know-how of the Fire Industry Technology Institute is expected to create great synergy in international cooperation."
Jo Sun-ho, Head of the Gyeonggi-do Fire and Disaster Headquarters, emphasized, "For Korean firefighting to expand globally and become a leader in the international community, various forms of support projects must be carried out simultaneously. We will work with the Korea Fire Industry Technology Institute to expand the development of effective, locally customized programs."
