Hyundai Engineering & Construction announced on the 19th that it has won the redevelopment project for Incheon Bugae 5 District by forming a consortium with SK Ecoplant.

The Incheon Bugae 5 District Redevelopment Association (Chairman Lee Dong-gil) held a general meeting on the 18th to select a construction company. They conducted a member vote on the sole bid from the Hyundai Engineering & Construction and SK Ecoplant consortium, the preferred negotiation candidate, and ultimately selected them as the construction company.

The Incheon Bugae 5 District project covers an area of 117,300㎡ around 318-15 Bugae-dong, Bupyeong-gu, and is considered the largest redevelopment project in the Incheon area this year. The project applies a building coverage ratio of 18.85% and a floor area ratio of 246.45%, and plans to construct 20 buildings ranging from three basement floors to 29 above-ground floors, comprising 2,013 households and auxiliary welfare facilities.

Bugae Station on Subway Line 1 is located within a 10-minute walk, and Bupyeong Station, which features the GTX-B line development, is just one stop away, allowing residents to enjoy the transportation and commercial district centered around Bupyeong Station. The site is adjacent to two elementary schools, Bugae Elementary School and Ilsin Elementary School, boasting a ‘Chochopuma’ location where children can safely commute to and from school.

Songnae IC is nearby, providing easy access to the metropolitan area, and within a 5-minute drive are excellent infrastructures such as Bucheon Citizen’s Cultural Park, Incheon Samsan World Gymnasium, and Catholic University Incheon St. Mary’s Hospital. Nearby are also Bugaesan Mountain, Seochon Park, and Bamgol Park.

The Hyundai Engineering & Construction consortium has named the complex ‘Heritage Bupyeong.’
