Major Inquiries Continuously Updated on K-Pass App and Website
The Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport's Metropolitan Area Wide-area Transportation Committee compiles the most frequently asked questions from users since the launch of K-Pass and provides guidance on the K-Pass app and website.
Since its launch on the 1st of last month, K-Pass has received enthusiastic responses from the public, surpassing 1.2 million members (850,000 users who switched to the Discount Transportation Card and 350,000 new subscribers).
Since the start of the project, approximately 28,930 inquiries have been received through the K-Pass app and website. The main inquiries concern the project details (33.5%) and usage methods and procedures (21.4%).
The Metropolitan Area Wide-area Transportation Committee has included related information in the "Frequently Asked Questions" menu on the K-Pass app and website to help users easily resolve their questions. Additionally, the "Frequently Asked Questions" will be regularly updated to enable users to use K-Pass more conveniently.
From May 22 to May 24, the Committee, together with the Korea Transportation Safety Authority, the entrusted operator of K-Pass, will operate a K-Pass promotional booth at Seoul Station for three days (9:30 AM to 5:30 PM) to provide offline guidance as well.
The promotional booth is composed of three "Worry Pass Gates," inspired by the K-Pass slogan "Pass your transportation worries with K-Pass!" and the gates users pass through when using transportation facilities.
This K-Pass promotional booth actively reflects the opinions of the main users, the youth. The Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport's 2030 Advisory Group, led by the youth advisory officer, directly contributed ideas and actively participated from planning to operation of the promotional booth.
At the promotional booth site, direct communication with users will be conducted and reflected in policy as well. Kang Hee-up, Chairman of the Metropolitan Area Wide-area Transportation Committee of the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport, stated, "With 1.2 million users in less than a month, K-Pass has become a representative public transportation policy in Korea. We will strive to respond promptly to users' inquiries and make K-Pass even more convenient to use to repay the public's enthusiastic support."
