Hyosung's Cho Hyun-sang Meets Cambodian Prime Minister to Explore Asian Business Expansion

Prime Minister Hun Manet "Interest in newly established 'HS Hyosung' launch"

Cho Hyun-sang, Vice Chairman of Hyosung Group, met with Hun Manet, Prime Minister of Cambodia, who visited Korea on the 17th for the Korea-Cambodia summit, at a location in Seoul to discuss ways to expand cooperation.


On the same day, during the visit, Vice Chairman Cho introduced Hyosung's global network and explained successful investment cases in China and Vietnam, as well as world-leading products such as spandex and polyester tire cords, Hyosung Group announced on the 19th.


Vice Chairman Cho told Prime Minister Hun Manet, "Cambodia is a country with a friendly business environment and development potential." He added, "Hyosung Group is seeking to expand its business from China and Vietnam to the Asian region," and requested, "We ask for increased interest and support from the Cambodian government."


In response, Prime Minister Hun Manet said, "Thank you for your interest in Cambodia. We are interested in the newly launched HS Hyosung," and promised, "We will actively support your entry and investment in Cambodia."

Hyosung exports tire reinforcement materials, polypropylene, and automated teller machines (ATMs) to Cambodia. Hyosung Group explained, "Foreign companies such as automobile and tire manufacturers are expanding their entry into Cambodia," and added, "The scale of local business is expected to continue growing."


Vice Chairman Cho was previously selected as a 'Next Generation Leader of Korea-China-Japan' in 2005 and a 'Next Generation Global Leader' by the World Economic Forum in 2007. Currently, he is actively working as a representative next-generation business leader, serving as a director of the OECD Business and Industry Advisory Committee and chairman of the Korea-Vietnam Economic Cooperation Committee.
