Gangseo-gu, Seoul (District Mayor Jin Gyo-hoon) has taken steps to revitalize the Gangseo Miracle Medi Special Zone.
On the 17th at 3:30 PM, the district held the 'Gangseo Miracle Medi Special Zone Project Briefing' at the Gyeomjae Jeongseon Art Museum.
About 100 people attended the briefing, including members of the special zone council such as Mayfield Hotel, Mizmedi Hospital, Bumin Hospital, and stakeholders from the medical, beauty, and travel industries interested in attracting foreign patients.
The briefing proceeded in the order of ▲ Introduction to Gangseo Miracle Medi Special Zone ▲ Presentations by special zone council members ▲ Announcement of the Gangseo Medical Tourism Product Contest.
After the briefing, a B2B consultation session was held where special zone members and participating companies conducted one-on-one meetings to provide detailed information about the characteristics of each medical institution and medical tourism infrastructure.
District Mayor Jin Gyo-hoon said, “Although the industry has experienced steady growth since the zone was designated in 2015, the medical tourism sector faced a downturn after COVID-19. This briefing was organized to revitalize the industry. We will actively support attracting many medical tourists by leveraging the area's characteristics, such as proximity to the airport, excellent medical institutions, and the Magok MICE complex.”
