Nowon District Mayor Oh Seung-rok Attends Launch Ceremony of 'Nowon Youth Policy Network 5th Term'

On the 18th at 2 PM, Oh Seung-rok, Mayor of Nowon District, attended the 'Nowon Youth Policy Network 5th Term Inauguration Ceremony' held at the Nowon District Office auditorium.

This inauguration ceremony marked the beginning of activities for the 5th term of the 2024 Nowon Youth Policy Network (hereafter Nowon Youth Net) and introduced the Nowon Youth Policy Governance Center, Seoul's first youth participation specialized center operating the Youth Net. During the ceremony, Mayor Oh Seung-rok presented the vision for youth policy in a cheerful atmosphere and held an interview answering questions from the youth, fostering communication.

The Nowon Youth Net is exclusively operated by the Youth Participation Specialized Center and serves as a central axis to advance a youth-led participation system. Activities based on youth interests, such as public interest projects and local resource cooperation initiatives, are planned to continue until the end of the year.

About 70 people attended the event, including Mayor Oh Seung-rok, local council members, and youth committee members of the Nowon Youth Net.

Mayor Oh Seung-rok of Nowon District said, “As a result of actively supporting youth participation in district administration so far, Seoul’s first ‘Youth Participation Specialized Center’ was established, and Nowon Youth Net is starting its fifth chapter. We will work together to turn the dreams and imaginations of youth into joyful realities.”
