Russian President Vladimir Putin and Chinese President Xi Jinping discussed the issue of an 'Olympic truce' during their summit meeting.
On the 17th, Russian news agencies TASS and Sputnik reported this. President Xi recently proposed a joint truce during the Paris Summer Olympics this year in talks with French President Emmanuel Macron during his European tour.
Accordingly, there was keen interest in whether President Xi would request an Olympic truce from President Putin, who was visiting China as a state guest.
On the second day of his visit to China, President Putin visited Harbin, the capital of Heilongjiang Province and his second destination after Beijing, to attend the opening ceremony of the 8th Russia-China Expo and the 4th Russia-China Regional Cooperation Forum.
