Dongjak-gu (Mayor Park Il-ha) will hold the '2024 Dongjak-gu Hair Show' on the 21st at the Dongjak Cultural Welfare Center Auditorium to revitalize the local beauty industry.
The district stated that it has invested district funds for the first time to strengthen the competitiveness of local hair and beauty salons, inviting professional instructors with experience in international competitions to provide an opportunity to experience the latest trending beauty techniques all in one place.
This event is hosted by Dongjak-gu and organized by the Korean Beauty Association Dongjak-gu Branch, with participation expected from local hair and beauty salons.
The hair show will begin at 3 p.m. with a congratulatory speech by Mayor Park Il-ha of Dongjak-gu, followed by 14 professional instructors and 13 models showcasing hair trends such as ▲latest men's and women's haircuts ▲bridal hairstyles ▲classic hairstyles, with live demonstrations by theme.
Additionally, as a preliminary event, mandatory legal education on 'Hygiene Training' will be conducted to help understand the Public Health Control Act and enhance the professionalism of beauty business operators.
After the event, a survey will be conducted for visiting business owners and residents to reflect diverse opinions when planning next year's hair show.
Residents interested in this hair show can participate on-site without a separate application.
For more details such as lecture content, inquiries can be made to the Health Administration Division.
Going forward, the district plans to promote hands-on programs that can be utilized in actual business sites from beauty experts and regularly conduct hygiene training along with hair shows to improve education satisfaction.
Mayor Park Il-ha of Dongjak-gu said, “I hope this event allows everyone to enjoy the creative touch of the technical instructors in one space and helps improve the skills of local hair and beauty professionals,” adding, “We will continue to prepare various programs to raise the pride of hair and beauty professionals and enable residents to directly experience K-Beauty culture.”
