New Version of SmartSuite Released
Continued Growth Through Full-Scale Overseas Expansion
Emro, the No. 1 AI-based supply chain management software company in Korea, has achieved its highest-ever first-quarter sales.
Emro announced on the 16th that its consolidated financial statements showed first-quarter sales this year reached 14.6 billion KRW, a 2.4% increase compared to the same period last year.
Due to rising geopolitical tensions originating from the Middle East and the global inflation impact, investments to build stable supply chains are increasing. Demand for cloud-based supply chain management systems that can be implemented easily and quickly has grown. Revenue from cloud service usage fees reached 1.4 billion KRW, a 14.3% increase compared to the same period last year. Technology fees, which are steadily generated annually from client companies, also recorded 2.8 billion KRW, up 10.8% from the same period last year.
Due to investments in overseas SRM SaaS solution businesses and increased research and development expenses, operating profit in the first quarter of this year decreased compared to the same period last year. Emro plans to continue growth through ▲a rich sales pipeline ▲launch of new versions of supply chain management software ▲strengthening AI business ▲expanding sales through overseas market entry.
As of March this year, Emro's order backlog reached 61 billion KRW, a 31.2% increase compared to the same period last year, marking an all-time high. Recently, it secured large projects from leading domestic companies. In addition to steadily expanding its AI software lineup this year, it is also preparing to launch a new version v10.0 of its supply chain management software, SMARTsuite.
Emro is also accelerating its sales and marketing activities in overseas markets. Recently, Emro participated in Gartner’s ‘2024 Gartner Supply Chain Symposium/Xpo,’ recognized as the most credible IT research and consulting firm by global companies, and the annual conference hosted by the Institute for Supply Management in the U.S. It is receiving significant interest from local corporate clients in the North American market, where demand for supply chain management software is rapidly increasing.
An Emro representative said, "The process of preparing for overseas expansion was a time to confirm the competitiveness of Emro’s supply chain management software and AI software," adding, "We will open the era of ‘Emro 2.0’ to become a leading global software company."
