Munsae-rom, team leader, and Park Do-i, team member of the Gwangsan-gu Children and Social Welfare Meal Management Support Center (Director Yang Eun-ju, Professor of Food and Nutrition at Honam University), received the Gwangju Mayor's Commendation at the '23rd Food Safety Day' ceremony held at Gwangju City Hall on May 14 in recognition of their contribution to improving the hygiene and nutrition management levels of registered meal service facilities and fostering proper eating habits among beneficiaries.
The awarded staff expressed their gratitude, stating, "We will continue to do our best to provide safe and healthy meals at children and social welfare meal service facilities."
Additionally, at the ceremony, 25 children from 'Sansae Sori Kindergarten' in Unsu-dong, a registered meal service facility of the center, participated and presented lively songs and exciting rhythmic dance performances.
The Gwangsan-gu Children and Social Welfare Meal Management Support Center manages 387 children's meal service facilities, which are not required to employ nutritionists, and 47 small-scale meal service facilities for the elderly and disabled. The center provides customized hygiene and nutrition management as well as various educational programs tailored to different target groups.
