Invitation to Director Ko Hun and Actors
The Hanyang University Future Culture Convergence Research Center announced on the 15th that it will hold a screening and talk concert for the film "Daughters of That Day" on the 24th of this month at the Social Sciences Building on the Seoul campus.
Director Ko Hoon, along with actors Yang Kyung-in and Pachis, will participate in this event to discuss the Jeju 4.3 Incident, the stories of people left behind after Rwanda, and the filming process of the work. Director Ko earned his Ph.D. in Theater and Film Studies at Hanyang University and has directed works such as "Moisture" and "Forty."
"Daughters of That Day" is a documentary film centered on Yang Kyung-in and Pachis, who, despite differences in generation, nationality, and occupation, share the commonality of being daughters of massacre survivors. The film was also invited to the documentary competition section of the 28th Busan International Film Festival.
Meanwhile, the Future Culture Convergence Research Center was selected for the 2022 Hanyang Humanities Promotion Center (HEC) support project and is analyzing social discourse contained in visual narratives from political and sociological perspectives.
