Relay Lectures by Experts in 8 Fields Including K-Webtoon and Entertainment
The Cheonan Cultural Foundation is recruiting pre-registrants for the ‘K-Culture Industry Conference,’ which offers a glimpse into the past, present, and future of South Korea’s cultural industry.
Held as a side event of the K-Culture Expo opening on the 22nd, this conference is jointly organized by the Cheonan Cultural Foundation, Dankook University’s Global K-Culture Leading Convergence Talent Development Project Group, and Sangmyung University.
From the 23rd, over three days, expert relay lectures in eight fields including K-Webtoon and entertainment will take place at the Convention Hall of the Cheonan Independence Hall’s Gyereneuri Hall.
On the first day, the 23rd, focusing on K-Webtoon, there will be relay lectures by Kwon Hyuk-joo, president of the Korea Webtoon Artists Association; Jeong Ki-young, president of the Korea Cartoon Story Association; and Seo Beom-gang, president of the Korea Webtoon Industry Association. Additionally, a talk show and autograph session will be held with Kim Bo-tong, the author of the Naver webtoon ‘D.P. Dog’s Day,’ which is the original work of the Netflix drama D.P.
On the 24th, under the theme of K-Hallyu, lectures are scheduled with director Lee Kwon of the Disney Plus film ‘Killers’ Shopping Mall,’ popular music critic Im Jin-mo × Ohganji Production CEO Oh Sang-ik, Naver webtoon ‘Nokdujeon’ author Hye Jin-yang, and CEN Entertainment CEO Kim Eung-sang.
On the 25th, focusing on a preview of the new Hallyu, relay lectures in the trend field will be given by film director Jang Hang-jun, Goddess Ticket CMO Choi Jun-young, Nongshim Co., Ltd. Noodle Marketing Office Executive Director Shim Kyu-cheol, and broadcaster Jang Dong-min.
