On the 14th, the distribution industry introduced new products. Ourhome is strengthening the kimchi lineup of its premium home meal replacement (HMR) brand ‘Gu氏banga’. Seven Eleven launched four types of snacks, including popcorn, in collaboration with the movie 'If: Imaginary Friend'. Benefit additionally introduced two types of the 'Splash Dewy Tint' with a moist glossy finish, and Aekyung Industrial's 'Luna' released the Pro Photofinisher Pink Powder to create a bright and matte skin tone. In Seongsu-dong, the Loewe Perfume pop-up store will be open until the 16th of next month.

Ourhome expands HMR with 'Galchi Kimchi', 'Chonggak Kimchi', and 'Cheongip Kimchi'

First, Ourhome is renewing its premium kimchi ‘Galchi Kimchi’ as part of the Gu氏banga kimchi lineup. Galchi Kimchi is a delicacy kimchi that maximizes a deep and refreshing taste by adding Jeju-sourced galchi (hairtail fish). Sales of Galchi Kimchi in the first quarter of this year surged approximately 1500% compared to the same period last year.

The new Gu氏banga kimchi products include two types: ‘Cheongip Kimchi’ and ‘Chonggak Kimchi’. Both products apply a low-temperature fermentation method to provide deep flavor, texture, and a highly refined taste. Cheongip Kimchi uses domestically grown napa cabbage and red pepper powder, and is a handmade kimchi where each napa cabbage leaf is layered and rolled by hand. It is fully fermented through low-temperature aging, characterized by a resilient texture and deep umami flavor.

Chonggak Kimchi represents a refined noble family kimchi neatly packed in bite-sized pieces. It is a kimchi made by hand using carefully selected seasonal young radishes, adding a resilient texture and a sweet, refreshing taste. The young radishes and radish greens are packed whole without cutting, allowing for a crunchy experience until the end.

Seven Eleven X If: Imaginary Friend, Limited Edition Snacks

Convenience store Seven Eleven is launching snack products in collaboration with the movie ‘If: Imaginary Friend’ to celebrate Family Month in May.

'If: Imaginary Friend' is a movie about a girl who has the ability to see the imaginary friend ‘If’ and embarks on a magical adventure to help children find the forgotten If again.

The newly launched Seven Select If: Collaboration Snack series at Seven Eleven includes three types of popcorn essential for movie watching (Seven Select If: Vanilla Popcorn, Seven Select If: Caramel Cheese Popcorn, Seven Select If: Gourmet Butter Popcorn) and one type of baguette for light enjoyment (Seven Select If: Butter Garlic Baguette), totaling four products.

The product packaging is designed featuring characters from the movie. The collaboration snack series will be sold for a limited time until the end of May.

Benefit launches two new colors of 'Splash Dewy Tint'

Global makeup brand Benefit is introducing two new colors of the 'Splash Dewy Tint' for the first time in Korea.

This product features a light water-glow texture that gives lips a moist glossy finish as if holding water. It was initially launched with 12 colors last year, and now two additional colors, ‘Hibiscus’ and ‘Rich Beach’, have been added.

These colors were selected to suit Asians well. ‘Hibiscus’ is a raspberry pink ripened under the sun, and ‘Rich Beach’ is a rosy chestnut color capturing the languid mood of a sunset beach, both creating a natural and atmospheric lip look.

Loewe Perfume opens pop-up store in Seongsu, Seoul

Shinsegae International announced that the Spanish luxury perfume brand Loewe Perfume has opened a pop-up store in Seongsu, Seoul.

This pop-up store features three special exhibitions. Visitors can experience Loewe’s unique ceramic pottery collection, a vintage candlestick-shaped wax scented candle holder collection, and monochrome plant artworks by 18th-century photographer Karl Blossfeldt, which decorate the product packaging.

In the final space, customers can receive perfume counseling tailored to their preferences and image. In this area, visitors can have a special experience finding a scent that suits them through a simple survey with an expert. This pop-up will operate for about a month until June 16.

Aekyung Industrial’s makeup specialist brand ‘Luna’ has launched the ‘Pro Photofinisher Pink Powder’, which creates a bright skin tone and smooth skin texture.

Luna’s Pro Photofinisher Pink Powder is a transparent and light pink powder that controls oily shine on the skin, completing a matte and radiant skin tone all day long. It features mineral-based powder that helps with sun protection (SPF45, PA+++) to protect the skin from ultraviolet rays.

This product contains ‘spherical powder’ that absorbs oil and ‘plate-like powder’ that covers a wide area, filling pores and uneven skin texture to express smooth skin. Additionally, it applies a light and fine particle powder to create a non-stuffy skin finish.
