"Goodbye, Plastic!"... Kim Young-do, President of Dong-Eui Science University, Joins the 'Bye-Bye Challenge'

Kim Young-do, president of Dong-Eui Institute of Technology, has joined a lifestyle campaign to say goodbye to plastic.


On the 14th, Dong-Eui Institute of Technology announced that President Kim participated in the ‘Bye Bye Plastic (BBP) Challenge,’ aimed at reducing unnecessary plastic consumption in daily life and practicing responsible consumption.

The ‘Bye Bye Plastic Challenge,’ initiated by the Ministry of Environment, is a campaign designed to raise social awareness about plastic waste issues and encourage actions to reduce plastic products. Participants post their ‘commitment to plastic-free practice’ on social networking services (SNS) and then nominate the next participants to pass on the baton.


President Kim Young-do said, “We all need to pay attention to the plastic pollution problem and join efforts to reduce plastic use in our daily lives, which is why I took part in the Bye Bye Plastic Challenge. Dong-Eui Institute of Technology will actively pursue ESG management practices to help spread a sustainable and eco-friendly culture.”


Having been nominated by Kim Young-wook, mayor of Busanjin District, Kim Young-do passed the baton to Choi Yong-seok, vice chairman of Golden Blue, and Lee Chung-yeol, chairman of the Next Generation Entrepreneurs Club, as the next challengers.
