Achieved Top Grade 5 Times from 2019 to This Year
District Mayor Kim Mi-kyung: "Thoroughly Implementing Pledged Projects to Leap into Tomorrow's Center, a Changing Eunpyeong"
Seoul Eunpyeong-gu (Mayor Kim Mi-kyung) announced that it has achieved the highest grade (SA) in the "2024 Evaluation of Pledge Implementation and Information Disclosure by Elected Heads of Basic Local Governments in the 8th Local Government Term" conducted by the Korea Manifesto Practice Headquarters.
Eunpyeong-gu has achieved the highest grade (SA) a total of five times, including in 2019, 2021, 2022, 2023, and this year. This evaluation was conducted from February 8 to March 8, targeting 226 basic local governments nationwide.
The manifesto evaluation team, composed of experts and field activists, monitored and evaluated the pledge implementation status data posted on the websites of each city, county, and district.
This year's evaluation consisted of five categories: ▲Pledge Implementation Completion ▲2023 Goal Achievement ▲Resident Communication ▲Web Communication ▲Consistency. Eunpyeong-gu received over 83 points out of 100, achieving the highest grade.
Among the 226 basic local governments nationwide, a total of 81, including Eunpyeong-gu, received the highest (SA) grade.
Eunpyeong-gu is promoting 70 detailed projects under five major areas: ▲New Economy and Transportation Hub Eunpyeong ▲Eunpyeong Where Anyone Wants to Live ▲Eunpyeong Good for Raising Children ▲Inclusive Eunpyeong ▲Eunpyeong as a Representative City of Culture and Arts.
Additionally, it is advancing projects such as building railway and road social SOC infrastructure, customized lifelong education for infants, youth, and seniors, welfare for marginalized groups, and health and cultural projects for residents.
Kim Mi-kyung, Mayor of Eunpyeong-gu, said, “Achieving the highest grade this time is thanks to the public officials who faithfully fulfilled their promises to residents in their respective positions despite difficult financial conditions, and the residents who showed great interest and advice.” She added, “We will continue to communicate with residents and ensure that the remaining pledge projects of the 8th local government term proceed smoothly to leap forward as the center of tomorrow and the change of Eunpyeong.”
