‘Iut Gwanggo’ Beta Nationwide Expansion Open
Local lifestyle community Danggeun announced on the 14th that it will open the beta version of the ‘Neighbor Advertisement’ feature nationwide. Neighbor Advertisement is a function that allows customized promotion to buyers who are likely to show high interest in the items for sale.
Since April last year, Danggeun has been testing Neighbor Advertisement for about a year, starting in Jeju and then in Busan and Daegu, confirming its effectiveness and demand. As a result of the pilot operation, the average views and interests of posts using Neighbor Advertisement were about three times and twice higher respectively, and the average number of chats increased by about 30%, proving effective in increasing sales rates.
Positive user responses continued. Users who needed to sell items quickly, such as those with items sensitive to timing or those moving, showed particularly high satisfaction due to the upgrade cycle. The proportion of users who used Neighbor Advertisement again after experiencing it once reached 34%. Based on user feedback during the test period, Neighbor Advertisement underwent gradual functional enhancements and is now being introduced nationwide as a beta version.
Neighbor Advertisement targets potential buyers who are genuinely interested in the items, increasing the probability of sale. It selectively shows posts only to neighbors likely to purchase based on its own algorithm. Depending on the type of item and the neighbor’s level of interest, it is composed of three options: ‘Basic’, ‘Standard’, and ‘Premium’. Advertising can start from as low as 3,000 won, and users can select the number of exposures and price based on optimal advertising efficiency for each item. Since it is an advertising product suitable for selling high-priced items above a certain price range, advertisements are available for items priced at 100,000 won or more.
A Danggeun official said, “Reflecting users’ voices who want to increase sales probability even by paying costs, we have introduced the Neighbor Advertisement feature based on numerous experiments and feedback over the past year.” He added, “Sellers can quickly meet potential buyers interested in their listings, and buyers can more accurately find items they are usually interested in. Neighbor Advertisement will provide a more efficient trading experience to users who really need it.”
