Guro-gu Recruiting Trainees for Electrician Certification Course Until the 20th

Guro-gu, Seoul (District Mayor Moon Heon-il) is recruiting trainees for the Electrician Certification Course until the 20th of this month. The Electrician Certification Course is a project aimed at alleviating employment difficulties by training professionals in the electrical wiring field, which has a steady demand for manpower across basic industrial sectors.


The district will fully support 20 job seekers aged 20 or older residing in Guro-gu with training costs, online lectures, exam fees, and provide job matching in the electrical field necessary to obtain the national technical qualification of Electrician Certification.


Trainees will receive training from the 20th of this month to August 22nd (weekdays from 9:30 AM to 5:00 PM) at the Jugeongyadok Vocational School, including △ comprehensive theoretical learning related to electrical wiring △ practical training in piping and wiring work, heating and lighting work, equipment work △ and employment linkage support through one-on-one counseling.


Applications can be made by phone to Jugeongyadok Vocational School, and priority will be given to job seekers aged 40 or older among the applicants. For more details, please check the news section on the Guro-gu Office website.


Meanwhile, a short-term job training program will also be conducted for three days in cooperation with the Seoul Western Middle-aged Tomorrow Center of the Korea Labor Foundation.


Mayor Moon Heon-il said, “This training is a great opportunity for residents facing employment difficulties to acquire professional skills and establish an economic foundation for independence,” adding, “We will strive to help Guro-gu residents gain competitiveness in the job market by discovering promising national technical qualifications needed by companies and fostering professional manpower.”
