During the campaign held ahead of the 23rd Damyang Bamboo Festival and the National Disabled Students and Youth Sports Competition, local merchants were encouraged to voluntarily participate in price stabilization to ensure a successful festival and improve tourist service satisfaction.

In addition, price trends by business were checked and compliance with price and origin labeling was encouraged, focusing on Juknokwon, Damyang Noodle Street, and Damyang Market areas. Hygiene facilities at dining establishments were also inspected to prevent food poisoning during the summer season.

Furthermore, the county plans to operate a reporting center throughout May to prevent unfair trade practices and establish fair trade order, continuing regular inspections mainly targeting the foodservice and lodging industries.

A county official stated, “We will do our best to ensure many tourists are satisfied with clean hygiene standards and reasonable prices so that they will visit Damyang again.”
