Gyeonggi-do Cyber Library 'Homepage·Mobile App' Renovation Gyeonggi-do Cyber Library Website Renewal

Gyeonggi Province has revamped the Gyeonggi-do Cyber Library website (https://www.library.kr) and mobile app to improve the online reading environment for residents and enhance accessibility and convenience in using e-books.

The redesigned website separates the existing single homepage into a main homepage, an e-book homepage, and a book delivery homepage that delivers books to vulnerable groups, thereby increasing stability and addressing inconveniences such as delays in search and service speed.

Additionally, the entire website menu has been reorganized from the user's perspective, with mixed content rearranged by function and intuitively improved to allow users easier access.

Specifically, previously, when borrowing an e-book, users had to click on each book individually and download it to read. Now, users can preview desired e-books through a web viewer and borrow them directly. The mobile app has been newly revamped to focus on e-book subscriptions.

Kim Dong-ju, Director of the Library Policy Division of Gyeonggi Province, stated, "We have improved the service so that residents who mainly use the Gyeonggi-do Cyber Library e-books can access them more easily. We will do our best to support making it recognized as a convenient and accessible electronic library for all Gyeonggi residents, anytime and anywhere in their daily lives."

As of the end of April this year, the Gyeonggi-do Cyber Library offers over 83,000 electronic materials (owned, subscribed, and English e-books). It has over 220,000 registered members and an average daily loan volume of about 2,995 books, making it the largest electronic library in South Korea.
