Jin Gyo-hoon, the mayor of Gangseo District, has been giving up his weekends to visit various parts of the area and continue his communication efforts with residents.
On the morning of the 11th, Mayor Jin visited the ‘Sabom Market’ held near Exit 1 of Balsan Station, themed around social economy enterprises and spring outings.
He met with social economy enterprises participating in the market and small business owners who manufacture and sell eco-friendly products, listening attentively to the difficulties they face on the front lines and continuing on-site communication.
Elders from the Seoul Gangseo Senior Club sold sesame oil they pressed themselves, and bread and cookies from Gippeun Uri Protection Workshop, a vocational rehabilitation facility for the disabled, as well as various products sold by children at a flea market, contributing to the activation of the market by purchasing these items.
In the afternoon, he attended a village event at Gayang 4 Complex and then headed to Gungsan, where the Gyeomjae Culture and Arts Festival was being held.
To the students participating in the Gyeomjae National Drawing Contest, Mayor Jin said, “How do you draw so well? You are really talented,” offering words of encouragement.
He also stayed until the end of the event, watching the congratulatory performances with residents and enjoying various cultural events such as experience booths and viewing award-winning works.
Mayor Jin Gyo-hoon said, "I am grateful to everyone who visited the representative local culture and arts festival created together by local artists and residents, carrying on the achievements and spirit of Master Jeong Seon, known as Gyeomjae. I will continue to do my best to ensure that residents can enjoy and share culture and the arts."
