Hong Nampyo, Changwon Special Mayor, Attends Hyeondong Green Music Concert ... Engages in Close Communication

Hong Nampyo, Mayor of Changwon Special City in Gyeongnam, visited the ‘2024 Hyundong Green Music Concert’ held at the floor fountain square in Hyundong, Masanhappo-gu, and continued close communication by enjoying the music performance with local residents.

The Green Music Concert held on the 10th was organized by the Hyundong Residents' Autonomy Association with the purpose of creating shared memories for the residents of Hyundong. The concert’s name was created by combining the city slogan ‘Green Hyundong,’ which reflects the region’s outstanding natural environment.


About 600 residents filled the venue. Mayor Hong, along with Kim Igeun, Chairperson of the City Council, and Kang Yongbeom, Vice Chairperson of the Provincial Council, also attended as guests and delivered congratulatory messages.


The concert opened with pre-performance shows by students of the Hyundong Residents' Autonomy Center programs, including ▲Pungmul street parade ▲Nanta ▲Line dance.


Following this, various artists performed, including ▲Bubble & Magic Show ▲Gusan Middle School K-POP cover dance ▲Saxophonist Shin Yusik ▲Kim Eunju, a former contestant of MBN Voice Queen.


Thirty high-quality works from the essay, folk painting, and calligraphy classes?programs of the Residents' Autonomy Center?were also exhibited at the venue, providing a diverse visual experience.


Mayor Hong said, “I am deeply moved by the residents’ love for their community, who add pride to their home through the shared story unique to Hyundong called the Green Music Concert,” and added, “Using your deep affection for the region and passion for community harmony as a milestone, I will continue to focus on communication-oriented city administration.”
