Kim San, Muan County Governor, Receives 'Manifesto A Grade' for Pledge Fulfillment and Information Disclosure

Received an 'A Grade' in the Evaluation of the 8th Term Elected Mayor's Pledge Implementation Plan

Public Recruitment of Pledge Implementation Evaluation Team and Disclosure of Progress Ensure Resident Participation and Communication Efforts Bear Fruit

Kim San, the mayor of Muan County, is smoothly advancing the campaign promises of the 8th local government term. Muan County in Jeollanam-do received an A grade in the evaluation of campaign promise fulfillment and information disclosure for the 8th local government heads conducted by the Korea Manifesto Practice Headquarters.

According to the county on the 11th, this evaluation was conducted by the Korea Manifesto Practice Headquarters from February, targeting 226 local governments nationwide. As of the end of December 2023, it assessed five areas: completion of campaign promises, achievement of 2023 goals, resident communication, web communication, and consistency between election bulletins and implementation plans. The evaluation was divided into five grades based on the first round of homepage public data review and manifesto data verification.

Muan County received excellent evaluations across all five areas, especially scoring high in resident communication, web communication, and completion of campaign promises.

So far, the county has publicly recruited a campaign promise fulfillment evaluation team, ensured citizen participation in all processes including confirmation of campaign projects, establishment of implementation plans, and quarterly disclosure of progress, and has made efforts to communicate with residents by openly sharing progress.

In particular, Muan County also received an A grade in the manifesto’s campaign implementation plan evaluation conducted last April, reflecting the county’s commitment to fulfilling the promises made to residents from the establishment of the implementation plan to execution during the 8th local government term.

Mayor Kim San said, “The 8th local government administration of Muan is being smoothly operated thanks to the active cooperation of the residents,” and added, “During the remaining period, we will do our best to fulfill the promises made to the residents and strive to make Muan a happier place for all residents.”
