"Handonghun, Likely Difficult to Run for Party Convention Due to Weak Eloquence"
Lee Jun-seok, leader of the Reform New Party, predicted that Han Dong-hoon, former emergency committee member of the People Power Party, would find it difficult to run in the party convention, and even if he did, the chances of failure would be high. Lee pointed out Han's characteristic 'kkureogi' (rascal) expression and said it needs to be corrected.
On the 10th, Lee appeared on TV Chosun's YouTube channel Gang Punch and dismissed the speculation about Han running in the People Power Party convention, saying, "Han has an ambiguous unique ability that only he possesses." He evaluated, "(Han) lacks election command skills," and "He is neither eloquent nor media-friendly."
He continued, "If Han runs in the party convention, I believe he will lose a lot in eloquence (writing and speaking)." Lee said, "Except for one appearance at the Kwanhun Debate, I have not seen Han participate in media interviews or debates," adding, "There are numerous debates in the party convention, and Han, who lacks eloquence, will find it difficult to handle."
He further explained, "Debates within the party are even harder," and added, "Han should not just criticize unconditionally as he did to Lee Jae-myung, leader of the Democratic Party, nor should he try to label the opponent as a criminal."
Lee also pointed out that Han has a 'kkureogi' image and needs to fix it. He explained, "Young people call him the 'kkureogi look.' His smug expression has become his trademark," and described it as "a look like 'I kept my mouth shut and did well.'"

Regarding the speculation about Han running in the party convention, Lee criticized it as "an unfounded confidence, like saying you can do well on the final exam without changing anything after failing the midterm." He also assessed that the relationship between President Yoon Seok-yeol and Han seems worse now than at the end of 2021 when he himself had conflicts with President Yoon.
Lee ultimately predicted that Han would not run in the People Power Party convention. He named Na Kyung-won, Kim Tae-ho, Ahn Cheol-soo, Kwon Seong-dong, and Yoon Sang-hyun as expected candidates for the convention.
Meanwhile, when asked, "If President Yoon recommends a prime minister to you, whom would you recommend?" Lee replied, "If not Mayor Hong Joon-pyo of Daegu, I would like to recommend Representative Joo Ho-young or Representative Yoon Sang-hyun." However, he added, "I don't think (President Yoon) will ask." When asked to rate President Yoon's 2nd anniversary press conference the day before, he said, "I would give it 70 to 80 points."
