Muhammad bin Salman, Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia, will make an official visit to Japan from the 20th to the 23rd.
According to NHK, government spokesperson Chief Cabinet Secretary Yoshimasa Hayashi announced at a press conference that Crown Prince bin Salman will visit Japan during this period to hold a summit meeting with Prime Minister Fumio Kishida and also meet with Emperor Naruhito.
During the summit, Crown Prince bin Salman and Prime Minister Kishida are expected to discuss the international situation, including the Middle East. Secretary Hayashi explained, "We plan to confirm that we will further strengthen cooperation with Saudi Arabia, a strategic partner, across a wide range of fields, and closely collaborate to realize peace and prosperity amid the complex challenges facing the Middle East region and the international community."
