Gwangju Dong-gu Receives 'Highest Grade' in Pledge Fulfillment Evaluation for 5 Consecutive Years

On the 10th, Dong-gu, Gwangju Metropolitan City announced that it received the highest pledge evaluation grade (SA grade) for five consecutive years in the '2024 Evaluation of Pledge Implementation and Information Disclosure of Elected Heads of Basic Local Governments in the 8th Term' organized by the Korea Manifesto Practice Headquarters.

Since February, the Korea Manifesto Practice Headquarters has conducted evaluations on the pledge implementation data disclosed on the websites of 226 basic local governments nationwide for the 8th term, assessing five areas: ▲Pledge completion (100 points) ▲Achievement of 2023 goals (100 points) ▲Resident communication (100 points) ▲Web communication (Pass/Fail) ▲Consistency (Pass/Fail).


The 8th term pledge projects of Dong-gu include 48 projects across six major areas to realize "A village with neighbors, a warm and happy Dong-gu": ▲Bright and vibrant economic city ▲Hopeful autonomous city with a future ▲Cultural tourism city to visit ▲Low-carbon eco-friendly ecological city ▲Safe and healthy city ▲People-centered humanistic city.


Im Taek, Mayor of Dong-gu, stated, "Pledges are promises to residents that must be kept and the top priority tasks of district administration. We will prioritize financial and human resources support to steadily promote the 8th term pledge projects and strive to contribute to improving residents' quality of life."
