L'Or?al Korea Shares Support for I'm Eco's Eco-Friendly Products and Collection Service Purpose and Significance
Sansu Beverage Co., Ltd.'s eco-friendly brand I'm Eco announced that it participated in a beach clean-up event at Silmido Beach in Incheon in celebration of Earth Day. This event was jointly organized by L'Or?al Korea and the NGO Ocean.
On April 26, during the L'Or?al Korea employee beach clean-up event, I'm Eco sponsored its eco-friendly bottled water product "Gomaun Saem," made from 100% sugarcane with low carbon emissions and free from microplastics, to provide hydration for participating employees. Additionally, separate collection bags were placed throughout the area to ensure that not a single water bottle was discarded in nature, and collection was actively carried out.
At this beach clean-up, 250 L'Or?al Korea employees, along with I'm Eco and NGO Ocean, collected approximately one ton of marine debris including styrofoam pieces, discarded fishing lines, nets, and PET bottles over one and a half hours, focusing on the coastal area. During the activity, over 800 bottles of Gomaun Saem water were provided to employees, and all empty bottles were collected to be reborn as Gomaun Saem water bottles. Not only was the participation rate in water bottle separation high among L'Or?al Korea employees, but all collected bottles were recyclable without the need for separate sorting.

A representative from I'm Eco stated, "Following our festival plogging activities held within the city, we are very proud that employees could participate in the beach clean-up with L'Or?al Korea. It is also highly meaningful that all empty water bottles consumed during outdoor activities were fully collected thanks to L'Or?al Korea's participation."
They added, "We hope this serves as a good opportunity for many companies to recognize the importance of proper disposal of bottled water used at outdoor events. I'm Eco will continue to conduct campaigns to collect bottled water provided at outdoor events."
