The Gyeonggi-do Urban Regeneration Support Center appointed veteran cartoonist Lee Jeong-moon (83) as its ambassador on the 10th.
Since winning the 3rd Korea Cartoon Culture Award for Best Work in 1993 with Simsoolbook, Lee Jeong-moon has been actively working as an artist, receiving the Korea Cartoonists Association Merit Award in 2021, the Korea Webtoon Association Golden Pen Award, and participating in exhibitions such as the 2022 joint exhibition Kantau.
Kim Jong-yong, head of the Gyeonggi-do Urban Regeneration Support Center, stated, "Through the activities of cultural artists residing in Gyeonggi-do, we will contribute to the promotion and revitalization of urban regeneration in Gyeonggi-do, and pursue the improvement of cultural welfare and mutual cooperation."
The Gyeonggi-do Urban Regeneration Support Center is entrusted and operated by Gyeonggi Housing and Urban Corporation (GH) to enhance the sustainability of urban regeneration projects. It provides customized urban regeneration service support for local governments within the province, urban regeneration capacity-building education, and expert training activities.
