Operation of Promotional Booth for 'Drone Demonstration City Construction Project'
Changwon Special City in Gyeongnam is participating in the 5th ‘2024 Korea Drone Expo,’ held for three days from the 9th to the 11th at Songdo Convensia in Incheon.
Hong Nampyo, Mayor of Changwon Special City, is attending the 2024 Korea Drone Expo and listening to an explanation.
This expo is jointly hosted by the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport and Incheon Metropolitan City, and organized by the Aviation Safety Technology Institute, Korea Transportation Safety Authority, Drone Enterprise Association, Incheon TP, Incheon Tourism Organization, and Korea Drone Soccer Association.
Under the theme ‘Drones Come True,’ the event features a global international exhibition hall, global conference & business fam tour, international and professional drone soccer tournaments, and the world’s largest drone light show.
At the opening ceremony, Hong Nampyo, Mayor of Changwon Special City, attended to interact with domestic and international dignitaries and to tour the exhibition.
Additionally, Changwon Special City was selected for the ‘2024 Drone Demonstration City Construction Project’ contest and is operating a joint local government pavilion at this expo.
Currently, to commercialize K-Drone delivery, flight routes are being designed around Daewon Leisure Park, Buk-myeon Waterside Ecological Park, and Mannal Neighborhood Park, establishing the infrastructure to deliver convenience items such as beverages and snacks.
At the Changwon Special City booth, delivery drones and Vol (vertical takeoff and landing) drones are exhibited, promoting Changwon’s goal of becoming a ‘user-centered drone everyday city.’
Mayor Hong stated, “Through participating in the 2024 Korea Drone Expo, we will promote Changwon Special City’s drone industry vision and actively foster the drone industry as a future new growth engine.”
