Gwangju City Council's Administrative Committee Visits Advanced Sites Ahead of Promoting Gwangju-type Complex Shopping Mall

Visit to Starfield Suwon and The Hyundai Seoul

The Administrative and Autonomy Committee of the Gwangju Metropolitan Council (Chairperson Im Miran) visited Seoul and Gyeonggi-do to promote the Gwangju-type complex shopping mall.

They spent time considering ways to apply a one-stop lifestyle in the city center while directly experiencing a complex cultural space that combines shopping facilities with cultural, leisure, and relaxation areas.

From the 7th to the 8th, the committee members visited Starfield Suwon and The Hyundai Seoul for one night and two days to listen to the operation status of complex shopping malls and tour the facilities.

On the first day, after touring the Starfield Suwon facilities, they held a meeting with Starfield officials. Through the meeting, they reaffirmed the necessity of the Gwangju-type complex shopping mall and heard about the progress of Grand Starfield Gwangju.

Chairperson Im Miran emphasized coexistence with the local commercial district and demanded the construction of a differentiated shopping mall that can showcase regional characteristics.

On the second day, they visited The Hyundai Seoul and held a meeting, solidifying their vision to make The Hyundai Gwangju a global landmark beyond a complex shopping mall in the Honam region and their commitment to mutual cooperation.
