Strengthening Product Competitiveness in Fashion, Beauty, and Living Sectors

CJ OnStyle recorded strong first-quarter results, driven by the expansion of new brand launches.


According to CJ ENM on the 9th, CJ OnStyle (Commerce Division) posted an operating profit of 26.2 billion KRW in the first quarter, marking a 49.5% increase compared to the same period last year. Sales grew by 10% to 347.8 billion KRW.

The launch of more than 150 new brands in high-engagement categories such as fashion, beauty, and living in the first quarter was a key factor in the performance increase. Since last year, CJ OnStyle has been continuously strengthening its One Platform strategy. The One Platform strategy refers to providing customized solutions tailored to the characteristics of brand products by utilizing CJ OnStyle’s channels, including TV, T-commerce, mobile, live commerce, and YouTube. It is characterized by showcasing many brands across multiple channels to enhance product competitiveness.


In fact, mobile live commerce transaction volume increased by 48.8% year-on-year. The number of active users on the application (app) grew by 15%.


CJ OnStyle plans to focus on strengthening mobile product competitiveness in the second quarter. They aim to transform the mobile app into an AI-powered hyper-personalized video shopping platform and accelerate the expansion of live programming and short-form commerce.


A CJ OnStyle representative said, “We will strengthen the synergy between YouTube and the CJ OnStyle app’s live commerce to enhance competitiveness as a leading video content commerce business. We will also focus on expanding core customers by enhancing membership benefits to accelerate growth in digital commerce scale and profitability.”
