As a pre-ceremony event, about 30 members of the Dream Orchestra, composed of elementary, middle, and high school students from Muan County, performed familiar songs to uplift the atmosphere for travelers. Jin Air also held an event presenting one domestic flight ticket each to the first purchaser and the eldest passenger.
Muan County gave away its specialty products, ice-cold roasted sweet potatoes and travel pouches, as souvenirs to boarding passengers.
In his congratulatory speech, Governor Kim San said, “Jin Air is known as the only domestic low-cost airline operating Boeing 777-200ER aircraft, providing safe and convenient services. At a time when Muan International Airport is beginning to regain vitality, the launch of Jin Air’s regular route is truly appreciated, and the increased use of Muan International Airport by many passengers will contribute to the economic development of the Jeollanam-do region.”
Meanwhile, in March, Jin Air signed a business agreement with Jeollanam-do, Muan County, and Korea Airports Corporation at the Jeollanam-do Provincial Office to operate regular routes and revitalize the airport. Since the 8th, Jin Air has been operating the domestic Muan?Jeju route twice a week (Wednesdays and Saturdays) and the international Muan?Ulaanbaatar route twice a week (Wednesdays and Saturdays).
