On the 8th, LS announced on the 9th that it had opened the second LS Dream Center in Vietnam, located in Haiphong City. The center is an educational and cultural space that supports families where Koreans and Vietnamese are married. It opened the Haiphong branch one year after launching the Hanoi branch last year.

At the center opening ceremony held in Haiphong the day before, about 30 key officials attended, including An Won-hyung, President of LS Corporation, Nguyen Thi Bich Trung, Director of the Vietnamese Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Kim Hyun-jin, Consul at the Korean Embassy in Vietnam, and Jeon Ok-kyung, President of KOFION. The event included a plaque unveiling ceremony and a tour of the center.

According to the Hanoi Korean-Vietnamese Family Association, the number of Korean-Vietnamese families residing in Vietnam increased more than sixfold from about 500 households in 2016 to approximately 3,000 households last year. As a first-generation Korean company in Vietnam, LS Group opened its first center in Hanoi last May to actively participate in solving local social issues.

Haiphong is an area with high demand for childcare for preschool children. After reviewing the operation status of the Hanoi branch opened last year, the Haiphong city authorities requested LS to establish a center there.

The LS Dream Center Haiphong is a four-story building equipped with multiple program operation rooms. It runs programs such as preschool childcare, family psychological counseling, and Korean language classes. In the future, it plans to offer computer and IT education as well as English education.

President An said, "As the number one company in Vietnam’s electricity and power sector, it is a natural social responsibility for LS to contribute to improving Vietnam’s educational infrastructure and strive for sustainable growth. We hope the center will serve as a foothold to solve economic independence and children’s education issues for Korean-Vietnamese families."

LS entered Vietnam in 1996 by establishing LS-VINA, which produces power cables, in Haiphong. LS Cable & System (power cables) and LS Electric (low-voltage electrical equipment) have grown into leading local companies. LS Mtron, E1, and LS Metal also operate local production and sales subsidiaries.

Additionally, based on the philosophy of being a "reliable partner supporting the dreams of future generations," LS has consistently carried out corporate social responsibility (CSR) activities.

Since 2007, LS has dispatched about 1,000 university student volunteers overseas to Vietnam, India, Bangladesh, and Cambodia. LS Dream Schools have been newly built annually in the dispatched regions. To date, 21 Dream Schools have been completed in locations such as Haiphong, Hai Duong, Ho Chi Minh City, and Dong Nai in Vietnam.
