Changwon Health Center Launches Cardiovascular and Cerebrovascular Disease Prevention Experience Campaign for Seniors ‘Cardiovascular and Cerebrovascular Disease Prevention Experience Campaign’

This campaign aims to prevent and manage cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases among the elderly, a vulnerable group, through activities such as measuring blood pressure and blood sugar, explaining early symptoms and response methods for cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases, ‘Knowing Your Vascular Numbers,’ and registering for the ‘U-119 Safety Call Service.’

The U-119 Safety Call Service is a one-pass service that enables immediate customized emergency treatment and appropriate hospital transfer based on registered data (such as the patient’s diseases and characteristics) in the event of an emergency related to cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases, minimizing mortality and functional disabilities.

Jung Hye-jeong, director of Changwon Public Health Center, stated, “Cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases are among the top 10 leading causes of death. They can be prevented through proper management of hypertension, diabetes, dyslipidemia, and lifestyle improvements. We will strive to provide optimal services for the prevention and management of cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases for our citizens.”
