KGC Ginseng Corporation announced on the 9th that it has appointed soccer player Hwang Hee-chan as the ambassador for its steady-selling brand, Jeonggwanjang HongSamTon.
Jeonggwanjang explained that Hwang Hee-chan, a national soccer team player and member of the English Premier League club Wolverhampton, has been a loyal user of HongSamTon since middle school. This long-standing relationship was a decisive factor in selecting him as ambassador, as it allows for an engaging story beyond simple product advertising.
Jeonggwanjang plans to promote the connection between Hwang Hee-chan and 'Jeonggwanjang HongSamTon,' as well as his routine of consuming red ginseng, through key visual images and video production.
HongSamTon is a steady-selling brand launched in 1993 by Jeonggwanjang. It is a complex product combining red ginseng concentrate with various medicinal herbs and surpassed annual sales of 100 billion KRW in 2011. The brand offers a diverse lineup including the premium product 'HongSamTon Gold' and 'HongSamTon Cheong' for immune health during seasonal changes. Recently, a new product called 'HongSamTon Ryu' was released to help improve fatigue.
