Gyeonggi-do Opens First 'Social Economy Offline Store' in Siheung

Gyeonggi Province has opened a specialized store in Siheung to support the market expansion and promotion of social economy organizations.

On the 8th, Gyeonggi Province announced on the 9th that it opened the first offline social economy store, "031# (Gongsamil Shop)," on the 3rd floor of Siheung Premium Outlets, covering 496㎡ (150 pyeong), selling products from 29 social economy organizations in the province. "031# (Gongsamil Shop)" is named after Gyeonggi Province's area code, 031.

Gyeonggi Province plans to expand the "031# (Gongsamil Shop)" stores to revitalize social economy organizations.

The Gyeonggi Province store was remodeled in cooperation with Shinsegae and Siheung City to reflect recent consumer trends combining rest and shopping. It will be developed as a representative store showcasing social economy products to residents and as a hub promoting value consumption.

Gyeonggi Province will also soon reopen the existing "Gyeonggi Province Social Economy Shopping Mall" (smartstore.naver.com/segg) on Naver Smart Store as the online "031# (Gongsamil Shop)" store.

At the offline store, social economy products are sold at a 50% discount. Additionally, gift events are held based on purchase amounts. The online shopping mall offers discounts of 30-50% on all products, photo review events, and shipping fee support events.

Kim Hyun-gon, Deputy Governor for Economy of Gyeonggi Province, said, "031# (Gongsamil Shop) is not just a store but a starting point for creating a culture of consuming social value," adding, "We will actively support 031# to become a pride of Gyeonggi Province and, furthermore, a symbol of value consumption in the Republic of Korea."
