According to TASS and other sources, Dmitry Peskov, the Kremlin spokesperson, said at a briefing that day, "We value our bilateral relations with North Korea and want to further develop relations with them in all possible areas." He made this remark in response to questions about recent reports that Russia increased oil supplies to North Korea in violation of United Nations (UN) Security Council resolutions.

When asked whether missiles provided by North Korea to Russia had been used, Peskov replied, "I cannot answer as this concerns military matters."

Western countries, including South Korea, Japan, and the United States, have accused Russia of violating UN Security Council resolutions by using North Korean missiles and ammunition in Ukraine. However, Russia and North Korea have denied arms transactions, stating that these are merely Western claims without evidence.
