On the 8th, the Jeonnam Regional Post Office signed a business agreement with Gwangju Metropolitan City and the Gwangju Independent Support Agency for the 'Registered Mail Welfare Service for Youth Preparing for Independence.'
This service involves the city sending promotional materials containing support information to youth preparing for independence via registered mail. The mail carrier, upon delivery, conducts a checklist through questions and observations regarding ▲whether the recipient actually resides at the address ▲the living environment around the home (safety and hygiene) ▲economic and health status, and then sends the completed checklist back to the dedicated agency. This project supports customized services based on the actual conditions of the recipients.
The Jeonnam Regional Post Office plans to review the expansion of the project scope after analyzing the outcomes of this welfare registered mail service for youth preparing for independence, which is the first of its kind nationwide.
Moon Geun-seok, Acting Director of the Jeonnam Regional Post Office, stated, “Through the welfare registered mail service for youth preparing for independence, we will actively support 'Yeolyeodeol Eoreun' (Eighteen Adults) to live ordinary and vibrant lives, and will continue to establish a cooperative system with the city to ensure that various social groups can enjoy welfare benefits.”
