Modetour announced that the number of overseas travel package customers sent last month nearly doubled compared to the same period last year.
Lotte Tour Development Launches Chungcheong Region's First Cruise from Daesan Port, Seosan

Lotte Tour Development held a charter cruise departure ceremony at Daesan Port in Seosan, announcing the successful departure of the Costa Serena charter cruise ship carrying about 2,600 customers. The Costa Serena, an Italian-flagged vessel, is the largest cruise ship departing from Korea as its home port (114,000 tons, 290m length, 35m width), capable of accommodating up to 3,780 passengers. The Costa Serena, which departed from Daesan Port, Seosan, will follow a 6-night, 7-day itinerary visiting major port cities such as Okinawa and Miyakojima in Japan, and Keelung in Taiwan, before returning to Busan Port. On the 14th, the second voyage is scheduled, carrying 2,500 customers on a 4-night, 5-day itinerary calling at Busan, Sakaiminato, and Kanazawa in Japan. Baek Hyun, CEO of Lotte Tour Development, said, "This departure from Daesan Port, Seosan is significant as it is the first cruise departure in the Chungcheong region," adding, "Since one cruise ship can accommodate as many tourists as 15 airplanes, the cruise business will play a major role not only in travel but also in job creation and revitalizing the local economy."
Kensington Resort Gapyeong Launches 'Children's Soccer King' Package
E-Land Park's Kensington Resort Gapyeong announced that starting next month on the 8th, it will offer the 'Children's Soccer King' package, allowing children to enjoy a special day playing soccer with players from Seoul E-Land FC. The package includes a one-night stay, a one-hour children's soccer one-day class, one set of Seoul E-Land FC uniform (top and bottom), one signed ball, and two welcome drinks. The children's soccer one-day class will be held at the resort's outdoor soccer field from 3 PM to 5 PM and will include programs such as basic skills through play and training, and matches. This product is available only to the first 30 customers who make reservations by the 17th due to uniform production schedules. The price starts from 229,900 KRW (tax included).
Modetour Reports 90% Increase in Overseas Travel Customers in April Compared to Last Year
Modetour announced that the number of overseas travel customers sent last month (including packages and air tickets) reached about 169,000, an increase of approximately 90% compared to the same period last year. The regional distribution was Southeast Asia (50%), Japan (19%), China (14%), South Pacific & Americas (9%), and Europe (8%). Demand for travel to China also increased by 26% compared to the previous month, with the regional share rising by 4 percentage points compared to the previous month.
