Dong-A University Hosts 'Non-Curricular Education Program Certification Excellence Awards Ceremony'

The Center for Teaching and Learning Development's 'Global Study' Awarded Best Certification Program

Dong-A University (President Lee Hae-woo) held an awards ceremony recognizing programs that demonstrated qualitative excellence in the non-curricular program certification evaluation.

The Dong-A University Education Innovation Center (Director Kang Young-jo) conducts evaluations of non-curricular education programs to enhance the quality of non-curricular education, strengthen program substance, and disseminate the achievements of outstanding programs, awarding the top and excellent programs accordingly.

Out of 172 programs registered in the Dong-A University DECO (non-curricular program) system, a total of five programs were selected as top and excellent programs in this certification evaluation.

The Grand Prize was awarded to the "Global Study (Teaching and Learning Development Center)".

The Excellence Awards were given to the "Community-Linked Career Mentoring (Career Development Center)", "Reading Program (Academic Information Services Division)", "Global Win-Win Program (Learning Tutoring) (International Exchange Division)", and "Companion Group Counseling (Student Counseling Center)" programs.

The "Global Study" program, operated by the Teaching and Learning Development Center, aimed to strengthen global competencies by having foreign instructors and students form teams to engage in various learning activities. Through this, it provided students with positive learning experiences and contributed to adapting to university life and fostering a global mindset, earning the Grand Prize.

This program received high evaluations in various aspects, including a solid program structure and educational content, high student satisfaction, and the department’s own efforts to actively reflect feedback and opinions from participating foreign instructors.

Professor Kang Jin of the Teaching and Learning Development Center said, "Students have been happily participating in this program, which has continued for over 12 years, and foreign faculty members also participate, creating significant meaning in terms of bonding, belonging, and affinity. We will strive to operate the program effectively to have a positive impact."
