Recruiting 20 Geochang Residents Until the 14th
Geochang-gun, Gyeongnam Province announced on the 8th that it is recruiting 20 trainees for the ‘Citizen Gardener Training Course’ from the 7th to the 14th to promote garden culture and provide green healing experiences.
The training will be held free of charge every Friday for a total of 16 weeks starting from the 24th at Geochang Changpowon. The course is designed to enhance basic competencies as a gardener, including understanding garden plants, plant propagation, garden plant planting, and garden management.
After completing the training, participants will take part in various greening-related events hosted by the county, community participation garden creation, and volunteer activities such as the rooftop garden creation at Geochang Changpowon.
Applications can be submitted by visiting the Geochang Changpowon administrative office, and trainees will be selected through a first-round document screening and a second-round interview.

Kim Seong-nam, Director of the Environment Division, said, “Due to the high number of applicants for the citizen gardener training course, which started for the first time last year, we have newly added interviews this year. We have prepared a better structured training this year, so we hope for active participation.”
