Dongdaemun-gu and University of Seoul Sign MOU to Promote Environmental Education

Dongdaemun-gu, Seoul (Mayor Ilpyeong Lee) announced on the 8th that on the 2nd, in order to revitalize environmental education, Seoul National University of Science and Technology was designated as the Dongdaemun-gu Environmental Education Center, and a business agreement was signed with Seoul National University of Science and Technology and the Seoul Green Environment Support Center for efficient work promotion.

Through the agreement ceremony, Dongdaemun-gu, as the management and supervisory agency, will provide direction for the operation of the Environmental Education Center and support the budget, while Seoul National University of Science and Technology, as the designated institution of the Environmental Education Center, promised to provide personnel and space.

The Seoul Green Environment Support Center, as the dedicated operating agency, promised to actively cooperate to improve the expertise of local environmental education by developing environmental education programs and training professional personnel.

Mayor Ilpyeong Lee said, "Starting with this agreement, we will continue efforts to inform residents of the importance of practicing carbon neutrality and provide systematic and professional environmental education in cooperation with Seoul National University of Science and Technology and the Seoul Green Environmental Education Center." He added, "We will do our best until the culture of practicing carbon neutrality spreads to all residents and becomes part of daily life."

Attending the agreement ceremony held at Dongdaemun-gu Office were Mayor Ilpyeong Lee, Won Yonggeol, President of Seoul National University of Science and Technology, and Park Youngkwon, Director of Research Cooperation at the Seoul Green Environment Support Center.
