At around 10:08 a.m. on the 7th, a fire broke out at a detached house in Seopo-myeon, Sacheon-si, Gyeongnam, resulting in the death of a male resident in his 60s.
According to the Gyeongnam Fire Headquarters, the fire was completely extinguished by the responding firefighters at around 10:31 a.m., but the entire house, including household goods, was burned down.
The report was made by the wife of the deceased, Mr. A, who witnessed the fire upon returning home after going out and called 119.
A total of 41 personnel, including firefighters, and 16 firefighting vehicles and equipment were deployed to extinguish the fire.
The police and fire authorities plan to conduct a joint investigation to determine the exact cause of the fire, the extent of the damage, and the cause of death.
