Works painted by May Mothers who lost their families during the May 18 Democratic Uprising will be exhibited.
On May 7, the May Mothers' House announced that it will hold a special painting exhibition titled 'The Second Story of May Mothers' at the Jeonnam Office of Education Research and Information Center until the 17th.
The exhibition features over 140 paintings created since 2022 by 21 mothers who lost their families during the May 18 Democratic Uprising.
The paintings express the stories of the May Mothers who have lived through many sorrowful years.
Kim Hyung-mi, director of the May Mothers' House, said, "We ask for your great interest in this exhibition that contains the hardships and adversities experienced by mothers who lost their families, and beyond that, their yearning for democracy."
