Jung Geun-young, former representative of residents at Bundang CHA Hospital, held a press conference on the afternoon of the 7th in front of the Government Complex Gwacheon in Gwacheon-si, Gyeonggi Province, and made this announcement. On the same day, Jung reported five high-ranking officials, including vice ministers and ministers of the Ministry of Health and Welfare and the Ministry of Education, to the Corruption Investigation Office for High-ranking Officials (CIO) on charges including dereliction of duty. He said to the government, "We demand the disclosure of the 'initial' meeting minutes where 2,000 people were decided. If the minutes do not exist, we ask you to honestly state that they do not."
He continued, "Please stop misleading the public with the sweet talk of 2,000 people based on scientific evidence and the essential medical package," adding, "If you truly care about the medical system of the Republic of Korea, please nullify everything and start discussions from the beginning."
He also requested the judiciary to issue a ruling in favor if the government fails to submit the requested materials. He said, "Many citizens are suffering due to the government's haphazard policy implementation," and added, "If the government does not submit the materials requested by the court, please realize the spirit of separation of powers and justice by issuing a ruling in favor."
