- AI Gram Link Digital Campaign Video Released Emphasizing Convenience
- Connects to Laptops and Smartphones Regardless of Mobile Operating System (OS)
LG Electronics announced that it will provide a free upgrade of the software ‘AI Gram Link,’ first installed on the 2024 LG Gram, to previously sold products (produced since 2021) to enhance customer convenience.
AI Gram Link, which simplifies connection and file sharing between PCs and mobile devices with different operating systems, has received consistent positive feedback from users since its launch. Actual users of AI Gram Link commented, “It is more convenient for iPhone users since it is compatible regardless of OS restrictions,” and visitors to the popup event also responded, “The AI Gallery feature makes it very easy to find photo files,” and “It would be great if AI Gram Link functionality is updated on existing LG Gram models.”
In response to the growing demand from existing Gram buyers for AI Gram Link, LG Electronics expanded the feature to Gram products released before 2024 starting from the 26th, allowing more users to enjoy an optimal working environment. This means that features previously available only on new models are now accessible to owners of older models. This reflects LG Electronics’ ongoing commitment to caring for existing customers. The update applies only to LG Gram and some Ultra PC models released after 2021 and can be used by updating through the LG update section.
One of the core elements of ‘AI Gram Link’ is the ability to connect laptops and smartphones without OS restrictions such as Android or iOS, supporting customers’ flexible laptop use. It enables two-way file transfer between PC and smartphone, and after initial registration, files can be transferred without requiring internet or network connections like routers, maximizing work efficiency. Moreover, up to 10 devices such as smartphones or tablets can be registered per Gram, significantly enhancing user convenience. To address security concerns such as hacking or leaks during cloud storage or transmission, the system saves files directly on the PC, minimizing users’ security worries.
Additionally, AI Gram Link incorporates AI technology to automatically categorize photos and videos into 39 predefined categories such as people, time, and place. The clustering algorithm groups data with characteristics similar to AI facial detection and recognition models, sorting photos containing people by individual. Photos and videos classified through this process can be easily searched using complex keywords desired by the user. Furthermore, multitasking features such as mirroring, screen extension/duplication, and keyboard and mouse sharing through PC and smartphone connection allow users to operate as if using a single device.
Meanwhile, on the 26th, LG Electronics released a series of five digital campaign videos that cleverly and uniquely express the necessity of Gram Link. The videos humorously convey how Gram Link can solve various inconveniences caused by different OSs in daily and work environments, highlighting the efficiency and convenience of Gram Link. Viewers of the videos left positive comments such as, “I often had difficulties working due to OS restrictions, so it’s great to have this solved,” “Gram that can do everything,” and “It’s a system that maximizes work efficiency, so I definitely want to try it.”
LG Electronics also announced that it will hold an event on the LG Gram community website ‘Jaemi’ simultaneously with the release of the digital campaign videos. The digital campaign videos can be viewed on LG Electronics’ official website and YouTube channel, and viewers can participate in the event by leaving a comment on YouTube after watching.
