The Daegu Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Chairman Park Yoon-kyung) held the 'Daegu Chamber of Commerce and Industry 118th Anniversary Ceremony' on the 7th at the 10th-floor conference room of Daegu Chamber of Commerce in Dong-gu, Daegu, awarding plaques of commendation and appreciation to businesspeople and workers who contributed to the regional economy and industrial development.
At the ceremony, Hong Joon-pyo, Mayor of Daegu, Yoon Jong-geon, Head of Daegu Regional Tax Office, Bang Hyung-jun, Head of Daegu Regional Public Procurement Service, Kim Gyu-seok, Head of Daegu Regional Employment and Labor Office, and Lee Eun-cheong, Head of Daegu-Gyeongbuk Regional Small and Medium Venture Business Administration, attended to honor and encourage the awardees and celebrate the 118th anniversary.
The awards on this day included the 51st Commerce Day, with the Prime Minister's Commendation awarded to Kim Jong-woo, CEO of SLC Co., Ltd., and the Minister of Trade, Industry and Energy Commendation awarded to Park Ki-hoon, Director of Daegu Tech Co., Ltd. Following this, the Mayor of Daegu Award was presented to Lee Dong-hwan, CEO of JVM Co., Ltd., Kim Tae-young, CEO of PHG Co., Ltd., Won Chang-yeon, CEO of Ocube Co., Ltd., and Kim Seong-ho, Manager of Korea Alstrom Co., Ltd.
Additionally, Han Dae-gon, CEO of Hanchang Industrial Co., Ltd., received the Daegu Regional Tax Office Award; Jo Mi-ok, CEO of Research Korea Co., Ltd., received the Daegu Regional Public Procurement Service Award; Ryu Byung-gu, CEO of Taesan ENC, received the Daegu Regional Employment and Labor Office Award; and Kim Young-mi, CEO of Youngil Industry Co., Ltd., received the Daegu-Gyeongbuk Regional Small and Medium Venture Business Administration Award.
The Korea Chamber of Commerce and Industry Chairman's Award was given to Do Kyung-ho, CEO of Badamaeul Co., Ltd., Choi Myung-gyu, CEO of GS&T Co., Ltd., Kim Hwi-jong, CEO of GoodU Co., Ltd., and Seo Gwang-hee, CEO of Hanseong ENG Co., Ltd.
The Daegu Chamber of Commerce and Industry Chairman's Award was presented to Kyung Hoon-pyo, CEO of Jeil Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd., Lee Woo-sam, CEO of Marswin Co., Ltd., Kim Dong-hyu, CEO of Vision Tour Co., Ltd., Kwon Dong-chan, Manager at Heesung Electronics Daegu Factory, Lee Jin-seok, Manager at Hotel Suseong Co., Ltd., Jeon Jin-wook, Manager at Seongrim Advanced Industry Co., Ltd., Lim Jong-wook, Team Leader at Emart Manchon Branch, Yeo Jae-dong, Center Director of Mirae Asset Securities Investment Center Daegu, Kim Jae-yoon, Head of One-Stop Job Support Center at Daegu Employment and Labor Policy Division, Choi Yong-su, Head of Major Accident Prevention Team at Dalseong-gun Safety General Division, Daegu City, Si Sang-su, Officer at Startup Venture Innovation Division, Oh Young-rok, Head of Public Business Department at Korea Evaluation Data Co., Ltd., and Kwak Tae-ho, CEO of Gyeongbuk Industrial Vocational School, respectively.
Hong Joon-pyo, Mayor of Daegu, said, "Congratulations on the 118th anniversary of the Daegu Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the center of Daegu's economy. Despite the difficult economic situation, I ask all local businesspeople to unite their efforts so that Daegu can take off once again, centered on the TK New Airport, a key project of the 8th local government administration."
Park Yoon-kyung, Chairman of Daegu Chamber of Commerce, stated in his commemorative speech, "Amid various challenging domestic and international economic environments, we will continue to play a central role in regional economic development together with Daegu City to enhance corporate competitiveness, boost the morale of businesspeople, and revitalize the local economy."
Chairman Park added, "We will focus all our capabilities on the successful construction of the TK New Airport, which will lay the foundation for Daegu's next 50 years, and actively cooperate to maximize the achievements of Daegu's five future new industries: ABB, semiconductors, mobility, robotics, and healthcare."
