Attended by Park Seong-jun, Kim Yong-min, No Jong-myeon, and others

Park Chan-dae, the newly appointed floor leader of the Democratic Party of Korea, visited the National Cemetery as his first official schedule. Park announced his intention to lead a proactive Democratic Party, signaling a solo run.

On the morning of the 7th, Park Chan-dae, along with the floor leader team, paid respects at the National Cemetery in Dongjak-gu, Seoul. Around 8:30 a.m., Park solemnly laid a wreath inscribed with "Democratic Party of Korea Park Chan-dae." Following this, all attendees saluted and paid tribute to the patriotic martyrs. Present at the ceremony were Park Chan-dae, Park Sung-jun (Senior Deputy Floor Leader for Operations), Kim Yong-min (Senior Deputy Floor Leader for Policy), and other floor leadership members, as well as elected members Kwak Sang-eon (Seoul Jongno-gu), Kim Nam-hee (Gyeonggi Gwangmyeong-si Eul), Kim Yong-man (Gyeonggi Hanam-si Eul), Noh Jong-myeon (Incheon Bupyeong-si Gap), Kang Yoo-jung (Proportional Representative), Lim Kwang-hyun (Proportional Representative), and Jeong Ui-ho (Proportional Representative).

After the tribute, Park wrote in the guestbook, "I will create a reformist National Assembly and a people-centered National Assembly that fulfills the will of the people." Immediately after signing, he told reporters, "We will faithfully carry out the will of the people expressed in the 22nd general election and create a reformist National Assembly, an active Democratic Party, and a people-centered National Assembly." He then paid respects at the tomb of former President Kim Dae-jung. Despite the heavy rain, he did not use an umbrella while paying tribute to former President Kim Dae-jung and his wife.

Park, classified as part of the pro-Lee Jae-myung faction, has been signaling a solo run in the 22nd National Assembly. On the morning of the same day, on KBS Radio's "Jeon Jong-cheol's Jeonggyeok Sisa," he stated, "To check the administration and to have a proactive National Assembly, securing the Legislation and Judiciary Committee is essential." He added, "Creating a National Assembly that fails to provide political efficacy and does not work, as in the 21st National Assembly, would backfire on us." Traditionally, the chairmanship of the Legislation and Judiciary Committee has been held by the second-largest party, while the chairmanship of the Steering Committee has been held by the ruling party.

He also continuously pressured the Yoon Seok-yeol administration on bills that cause discomfort, such as the Special Prosecutor Law for Sergeant Chae. On the previous day’s CBS Radio program "Park Jae-hong's One-on-One Battle," Park said, "If they are truly conservative, it is hard to find a reason to oppose the Special Prosecutor Law for Sergeant Chae." He added, "I cautiously expect them not to exercise a veto and to fully accept it." Furthermore, regarding President Yoon Seok-yeol’s press conference scheduled for the 9th, he emphasized, "He should clarify his stance on the Special Prosecutor Law for Sergeant Chae and the special prosecutor law concerning allegations of stock manipulation by First Lady Kim Keon-hee."
